Education:June 1976: Marywood University, Scranton, PA; received BFA, Cum Laude, in Fine Art with concentration in MusicMay 1979: Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY; Earned MFA, Cum Laude, in painting with concentration in woodworking Beginning in the early 1980's, studied painting and glass painting extensively with internationally acclaimed Lithuanian artist, VK Jonynas, in his Jamacia, Queens studio. Continued studying the art of painting on glass with renowned stained glass artist and designer, Albanius Elskus. |

ExperienceJune 1976-August 1977: Port Washington, NY, Instructional Concepts Inc. Commercial illustrator; Designed 'cartoons' from academic scripts used for educational filmstrip presentations.1978- Present: Port Washington, NY. Joined the Malone Studio, Inc. stained glass studio as artistic designer and assistant. Designed new stained glass windows for religious, commercial, residential and private commissions. Including replication of damaged/destroyed liturgical figures utilizing traditional glass painting techniques. Commissions have included churches, temples, universities, schools, restaurants, public and private commissions throughout the United States. Specializing in designing leaded and stained glass windows in a collaborative process with other artists, clients, interior designers, committees and architects. Assisted with the fabrication process, restoration and preservation of older stained glass windows. 1990-2003: Relocated to Newport, RI. Founded and established the Elm Tree Cottage bed and breakfast. Designed and created the interior of the 9,000 sq. ft. house into a multi-award-winning and globally recognized inn. During that time, maintained all operations of managing the inn, operating the stained glass business, and established own art painting studio. |
